EUROPE, 8 November, 2006 – BenQ today announces that its Projector business is currently ranked #1 in 12 countries across Europe, according to the latest figures published by DTC Worldwide, a leading market research and consultancy company.

BenQ secured its #1 position in the following Western European countries with the corresponding market shares: Germany (12.78%), Greece (16.69%), Italy (17.04%). BenQ also continued to show its strength in the emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe, posting the following results: Lithuania (52.23%), Romania (44.40%), Czech Republic (44.22%), Slovakia (44.02%), Latvia (42.07%), Croatia (25.93), Poland (24.29%), Russia (23.12%), Hungary (21.43%).

Attaining a total of 12 #1 positions across the European Projector markets is a record high for BenQ, and coupled with its quarter 3 total European market share of 12.27% (up from 11.91% in the previous quarter), this demonstrates that BenQ’s increasing focus in the projector segment continues to contribute to BenQ’s consistent business growth.
