| The BenQ Joybook R42 Series Brings Favorable Cost-Performance Notebook Solutions to Value-Conscious Consumers
EUROPE, March 15, 2007 - BenQ today expands its Joybook lineup with the new Joybook R42 Series, aimed at providing favorable cost-performance notebook solutions to value-conscious consumers. The Joybook R42 features the Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor and VIA Chrome9 HC™ DX9 IGP graphic chipset based on the Windows Vista™ operating system and also comes bundled with a 60-day free trial version of Microsoft® Office Professional 2007.
The Joybook R42 series takes advantage of BenQ’s strengths in display technology by incorporating BenQ’s exclusive UltraVivid technology. By utilizing this exclusive technology, the R42 is able to deliver sharper, clearer images with more refined details. The UltraVivid technology employs DBEF™ (Display Brilliance Enhancement Film), which significantly raises the brightness of the screen. A low-reflectivity coating on the screen surface also helps to aggregate emitted light to further enhance brightness, providing a vibrant, crystal-clear image quality.
The Joybook R42 features a sophisticated frontal air-intake ventilation cooling system that brings in air from the front of the unit and then vents it out on the sides ensuring an effective cooling system for major heat-producing chips inside the notebook for optimal stability. The Joybook R42 is designed to meet the highest quality; the notebook has passed through a series of rigorous standard tests including scratch resistance test, pressure test, and hinge test. In addition, the R42 also comes equipped with a built-in Bluetooth® V2.0+EDR* function for simultaneously connection to various kinds of Bluetooth® peripherals.
