EUROPE, June 3, 2008 – BenQ announced today the addition of two new large-format widescreens to its G Series LCD monitors – the 21.6” glossy bezel widescreens G2110W and G2110WA. These widescreen models feature all essentials for everyday applications in work, leisure and entertainment, and are specifically ideal for SOHOs (Small Office, Home Office). The G2110W/WA are equipped with WSXGA+-Resolution (1,680 x 1,050), Dynamic Contrast Ratio (2,500:1), 5 ms response time, Senseye® +Photo Technology, Windows® Vista™ certification and an elegant design encased in high-gloss black.

Incorporating exclusive image enhancement technologies, the G2110W/WA deliver superior widescreen picture quality for all applications. Dynamic Contrast Ratio automatically adjusts backlight to optimise light levels for each and every scene. A 2,500:1 high contrast ratio intensifies the black levels, revealing even one darkest details in extraordinary clarity and sharpness. Users can further boost viewing pleasure with Senseye®+Photo, a proprietary digital image enhancement engine that fine-tunes depth, clarity and boldness. In addition, users can count on flawless colour fidelity across all sRGB-compliant peripherals with the sRGB mode, which ensures full colour compliance with the industry-standard sRGB colour space.

Productivity is also increased via the large wide-format display sizes. For Word documents, users can easily view two pages side-by-side at 100%, while for applications such as Excel and desktop publishing, more data and graphics can be displayed at one time. Large-screen viewing also enables easier navigation through multiple open applications.

The new model G2110W arrives with dual inputs – D-Sub connectivity and DVI-D supporting HDCP for uncompromised HD video. G2110W features analogue connectivity. Vista Premium certification on G2110W promises enhanced compatibility and full command of Vista’s entertainment, gaming, work and multimedia capabilities. The G2110WA features benchmark Windows Vista Basic certification.
