| Encompassing a native 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratio, this digital projector turns your living room into a live stadium for the entire family
EUROPE, 19 April, 2006 - BenQ today announces the new BenQ W100 digital projector that encompasses a native 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratio, 1300 ANSI Lumens and 2500:1 high contrast ratio to turn your living room into a live stadium for the entire family. The BenQ W100’s all-white housing conveys a simple elegance and perfectly complements any décor in your living space.
The BenQ W100 home entertainment projector boots a large native 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratio without any cropping or distortion that provides a true visual sensation. Peter Chen, Vice-President and General Manager of Digital Media Business Group, BenQ Corporation comments: “BenQ possesses innovative technology designed for your family that allows the BenQ W100 to encompass an easy-to-use design along with unique functions to enjoy a true cinema-like viewing experience right at home.”
HDTV Compatible The BenQ W100 supports a wide range of digital video formats, including 480p, 576p, 720p, and 1080i, enabling it to work with many high-definition TV systems. It provides superb picture quality with natural motion, crisp details, and vibrant colors for the most realistic viewing experience.
True Human Visual Perception Drawing on extensive consumer research and customer feedback, BenQ employs a seven-segment color wheel (RGBRGBW) and an advanced gamma adjustment technology to deliver optimum color rendering that is closer to true human visual perception, delivering true color reproduction.
The 3D Image Projection The BenQ W100 achieves a consistently high contrast ratio of 2500:1 that makes dark portions of the screen look darker and bright portions look brighter. Yet at the same time, there is no sacrifice in color saturation, so that image details requiring high contrast can be better displayed. That means you can scrutinize the details of a displayed object as though it were actually right there in front of your eyes.
Versatile Video Input Connectivity The BenQ W100's wide range of ports means you can watch video from nearly any source—a PC, DVD player, digital camcorder, game console, and HDTV set, among them. Two sets of component video jacks let you keep two different source devices (such as a DVD player and gaming console) attached, sparing you the hassle of attaching and detaching them. And the linear arrangement of these jacks ensures that your plugs don’t get tangled up when attaching devices.
Front Ventilations design The front-mounted ventilation system eliminates the annoying light leakage and vented hot air that can disturb viewers behind the projector. User can even place the BenQ W100 on a bookshelf or against a wall without worrying about overheating.
The BenQ W100 will be available as from mid April. |
