EUROPE, 5 June, 2006 – BenQ today expands its LCD monitor lineup with BenQ FP241W, the world’s first LCD monitor with an HDMI interface and full 1080p HD support. BenQ FP241W also features the exclusive Advanced Motion Accelerator (AMA) and BenQ’s proprietary Senseye Technology as well as a 1000:1 high contrast ratio and flexible screen adjustment.
BenQ FP241W’s complete HD support feature provides users to enjoy lifelike video through new generations of consumer electronics such as game consoles and HD DVD players. The HDMI interface enables 5Gbps data transfer and eliminates the need for signal conversion, ensuring the best quality video and audio performance. With 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) high resolution, BenQ FP241W is able to display more content while delivering crisp refined images and legible text and ensures no image distortion or cropping occurs.
In addition, BenQ FP241W’s 24-inch widescreen design allows users to view two independent A4-size windows simultaneously, making it ideal for professional applications such as finance, health care, research and communication centers. Moreover, the embedded PIP (picture-in-picture) function provides users to play back video from two different sources such as from a DVD player and a PC.
